Challenge #129 - "Clean and Simple" - Pink Gem Challenge

Good Morning Gemsters, over on the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot we are now onto our Challenge #129 and this time we want you to create a "Clean and Simple" card and of course we are being sponsored by Janet of Pink Gem Designs

http://www.pinkgemdesigns.com/catalog/
And I decided to used this gorgeous image "Angelique"

I printed Angelique (and you will find her here,) onto white card then coloured it with my Copic pens and then cut her out with Nestabilitie Die Label No.1 and then I used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and for my first mount I have used a piece of white pearlescent card and then used a Embossing Folder to create the pattern on it, then around the middle I have wrapped a piece of pink ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle and the sentiment has been stamped onto another piece of white card and mounted on a diecut from another Nestabilitie die.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot site and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Clean and Simple" Challenge.

Challenge #175 - "A Card of Many Folds" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Fellow Followers, well a lot has happened since my last Challenge for The Paper Shelter, we have been away to Guernsey for a week spending time with my friends and their little lad Nicolas, we had a really fabulous time and the weather was just perfect, thank you so much Jo and Stephen for having us. Also my eldest grandson has returned from Afghanistan and I do so hope that this will be his last posting there, I believe hes actually had three and I know he misses his son so much to, so lets hope the RAF officially leave by Christmas as theyve promised.
Anyway this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter is "A Card of Many Folds" so I will show you my interpretation in a moment but first you will want to know who our sponsors are and they are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card and that could be either a Image, Paper or Printable but even if you havent they will still give you three digi images of your own choice. Their library at The Paper Shelter website is full of surprises and the value against the £ is just unbelievable so do pay them a visit and browse for yourself.
And now for my card

I do apologise for the side of the card being in shadow I meant to take another photo but couldnt find the card so I do hope it wont spoil your view of it. I have used this gorgeous "The Time of My Life" image (remind you of anything?) and you will find them here, I printed them onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie rectangle die to cut them out and a fancy one for the mount out of pink card.
The base card is basically a 6.50"x 6.50" white card thats been folded twice to create this gateleg card, and the papers are from The Paper Shelters "The Happy Couple" and you will find them here, and I used two papers a pink and a blue patterned design, and these were mounted onto pink card and put inside and on the two sections in the front.
The mounted image was placed on the very front one over the fold, and the sentiment is a stamped one and this was also placed on a mount of pink card and then placed on the back section in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used three different sized pearls in the top and bottom corners that I could reach.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "A Card of Many Folds" Challenge.

And we were so lucky to be able to choose one of her fabulous images to play with and I chose this one

and I chose to use the left hand line "Flowers, Lace and Dies/Punches" for my theme, the image is called "Maggie" and you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 and the mount is one of the fancy one for the mount, I also used the sentiment that came with the image and this was also printed onto white card and cut out with a small Nestabilitie Label die and mounted on a piece of the purple card thats been used for the mount of the image.
The base card is a 6.50" x 6.50" white card and the mount is a piece of purple card and the papers are from Sweetshoppe digi set, and I then placed around the middle a piece of lace and attached it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was placed in the center and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
The flower spray was a number of different coloured cosmo daisies and placed in a spray in the top left hand corner and at the bottom I have placed a blue bow and to finish of I have used two butterflies that have been punched out with a punch and pearls in the top left and right hand bottom corners.

ABC Challenges - "S is for Shabby Chic"

Good Morning, well another month has flown by and now we are nearly into Autumn not for me the best part of the year as its nearly the start of Winter drawing and its not very welcome I can assure you. Anyway its time for a new Challenge over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot and this one is "S is for Shabby Chic" and for this one we are being sponsored by

And for this Challenge I have used this sweet Magnolia Image

I stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with a Wild Rose Die, and the sentiment is also one of the Wild Rose stamps and this was die cut using a circle die and mounted onto a another die cut from Wild Rose.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a pink card and the papers are from Marianne paper pad, and this is a shabby colour which I have torn the edges and distressed it with a tool. Down the left side and along the bottom I have used a cream lace, then on top I have used a square doily and placed my mounted image in the center.
I then placed the mounted sentiment in the bottom left hand corner, and in the top right hand one I have placed a spray of flowers and pearls.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the talented Design Team have created for your inspiration so that you to can take part in the "S is for Shabby Chic" Challenge.
