A Card for Mo's Challenge "Any Holiday or Celebrations"

Good Morning Everyone, hope you enjoy Trick or Treating today its amazing how quickly these months are flying by and tomorrow starts November I just can't get my head around it, anyway have a wonderful day. I am going to hospital later on today to have a varicose vein injected, not really looking forward to that just hope its not as painful as the stripping but we shall see, keep your fingers crossed for me as I have plans to go to the NEC on Thursday and I don't want them scuppered.
Well today's card has been created for Mo's Challenge "Any Holiday or Celebrations" and Ive used this sweet candy cane fairy as a Xmas card and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut her out, I then used the same die on some pink pearlescent card for the mount, the sentiment is one of the Pink Gem ones that's been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and one of two papers from the First Editions two new Christmas Packs "Christmas Treat and "Festive Joy",  the first paper is a white background with hearts and the second paper is a pink background with candy canes on, and this one has been cut into a strip and Ive used the Martha Stewart Cherish Border Punch along both of the edges then positioned it down the middle of my card. I then wrapped a wide pink satin ribbon around the middle of the card and stuck it to the back of the first mount.
I then used some more of the same pink card and one of the Cherry Lynn Doily dies to cut out a circle and this was then stuck to the left and the mounted image was positioned in the centre of the card, and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of Ive used a white and pink edged Hellebore with two lilies either side in a spray stuck on some silicone glue and punched out leaves in the bottom left hand corner.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

Sample Six for Sarah "Howling Wolves"

Good Morning Everyone, Im so glad that you liked my penquin card yesterday that I thought I would post my last sample on here again today. Sarah when she sends the Cuddle Upz Cd asks me to take the images and create something other than a Cuddle Upz one, if you know the princible of the Cd its to show two animals cuddling each other, and Sarah likes to make those herself and as there is more than these on the Cd it would be to easy just to sell it under the title of Cuddly Upz but she adds beautiful images, toppers, instant cards, inserts, envelopes and design sets, this cd has 10 all of the Artic Animals, and if you would like to see the rest of my samples you will find them on my No.2 blog, but this is my final one that Im blogging.
I have taken the topper and printed it onto semi-gloss photo paper and then mounted it onto silver mirri board. The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of silver mirri board, and on top of this is one of co-ordinating papers that come in the design sets, they all have landscape and as well as portrait ones in several patterns that match the topper. For this one I have used a dark blue multi patterned one and then wrapped a black lace strip around with a black satin ribbon down the edge of it and stuck it to the back of the first mount. I did make up a insert and put it inside though you carnt see it. Some of the images make smashing Christmas Cards so I do hope youve enjoyed this peek into whats on it.
I do hope that you will be watching her preview program on the 7th November at 10am on Create and Craft to see what really beautiful images are on this Cd.

5th Sample for Sarah of Peerless Designs "Penquins"

Good Evening Everyone, hope youve had a good day, Ive been busy creating some Xmas cards and I got into such a mess everywhere with the bits and bobs, but at least I did manage to make eight decoupaged ones and even popped some inserts in them to.
Ive been posting my samples for Sarah of Peerless Designs on my No.2 blog and I thought it was time I brought them across to my No.1 blog as well, this is my 5th sample and its of the baby penquins, the papers are all from the same design set and have been layered up on some silver mirri card. I also used some lace and ribbon around the centre of my card and positioned my mounted image in the centre, and finish it of with two snowflakes in the top two corners.
Sarah will be previewing her new CD "Artic Adventure" on Create and Craft on Monday November 7th at 10am I do hope you will be watching her and enjoying seeing the gorgeous images she has on this particular "Cuddle Upz" CD.

A Card for the LOV Challenge "A Sketch by Bev"

Good Afternoon All, sorry Ive not been around much this week but have been rather busy making samples for Sarah Hallams new Cuddle Upz Cd thats due to be previewed on Create and Craft on Monday 7th November at 10am, you will see some of those samples on my No.2 blog if your interested, anyway I hope you will watching and supporting her on the day. Anyway I decided to try and make a card to post and made this card for this weeks Lili of the Valley's Sketch by Bev, and Ive used this sweet image for my card and coloured it with my copic and tria pens then used a circle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out, I then used a butterfly circle for the mount out of blue pearlescent card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and one of three papers from "Nitwits Cooking Goodies" digi paper set, a plain white paper with lots of spots and bubbles on it, the second is a pink background with lots of sentiments on it, and the third paper is a blue background with hearts on it in several coloures.
I then mounted the card as the sketch shows, and then around the middle I have wrapped a white ribbon with cookies and teacups and teapots on in several colours. Then positioned my mounted image in the centre, with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some of the left over paper to create some paper flowers that have been arranged in the top right hand corner and stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.

The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. Bearlymine Designs Challenge Twentytwo - "Anything but a Card"

Good Morning Everyone, well weve now reached our Twentysecond Challenge at Bearlymine Designs Blogspot and for this one we want you create "Anything but a Card" so it means you will have to start planning something different for it, and this time we are being sponsered by the following companies :-

Crafty Emma - £10. Gift Voucher

Wow some really awesome prizes on offer and Im sure you will want to try to win one of them, and heres my choice of something other than a Card.
I deceided to create this tissue box cover as the boxes these days arnt anywhere near as pretty as they used to be. I used a template I found on "Sarah Hallam, Peerless Designs" website and adapted it to fit my own tissue box size by printing the base sheet onto white card using Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Summer Roses" digi paper set and then cutting it out to the template I had printed onto a sheet of white paper.
I then folded it into a square and around the bottom I created a border with one of my larger Martha Stewart border punch and some yellow pearlescent card and wrapped it around the bottom of the box cover. The lid was also cut from a template and this was also covered with a piece of the same "Summer Roses" paper and then around the cut out on top I have used a yellow oval which was cut with two Nestabilities and stuck around the tissue box opening. And around the lid edge I have stuck a trimming of lace and ribbon and tied a bow in the centre of one side.
To finish of I have created a flower spray with several different sized coloured roses and pearl sprays stuck to the corner with some punched out leaves and silicone glue.
Now that youve seen my box do please go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented team have created for you and perhaps it will inspire you to take part in this "Anything but a Card" Challenge.

We were lucky enough to be given several images to play with and I chose this one for my card.
His name is "Count Batula" and I thought he was just ideal to create yet another family Halloween card, Ive printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic and tria pens, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Pumpkin Die to cut him out, then drew around the die to create the mount for him out of orange card. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of orange card and one two papers from Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Halloween" Cd & digi papers, the first one is dark blue and black background with black bats all over it, on top is a orange paper with witch hats and bats on thats been cut into a 5" square and with my bat border and corner punches I have punched all around it, then placed it in the middle of the first mount. The mounted image was then placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, and I also punched out another pumpkin and with some stickles I have run it along the top of both. I then for my final flourish stuck some bat charms in several places at the top of my card and a pumpkin at the bottom next to the other two.
Now that youve seen my card do please pop over to the Cards for Men Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented team have created for you and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Animals" Challenge.

Anyway getting back to today its the Seventeenth Challenge for Cuddly Buddly and this week the theme is "Best Friends" and its my turn to use Barbara Williams "Bits of Ivory" images and papers you will find them in here in  "Cuddly Buddley's Webshop", Kim has some really gorgeous images and fabulous papers and you will fall in love them when you go to browse, so be warned have your credit card at the ready. Anyway heres my card for this weeks Challenge.
The image I have used is titled "A Good Book" and you will find it here, this has been printed onto white card then coloured with my copic and tria pens, I then cut it out with Nestabilities Labels 23 and to create the mount I used the same die to draw around and cut out with scissors, the sentiment is also from "Bits of Ivory" and this one is from the "Garden Sentiments" and you will find it here, this was cut out with the circle die and mounted in the same way as the image onto blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used blue card and one of  three papers from the "Garden Vignettes"  you will find them here, a very pretty blue background with white butterflies on, on top of this is a 5" square with a diamond pattern on in multi colours has been punched with one of my Martha Stewart border and corner punch sets, and for my last mount I have used a white background with green stripes with leaves and yellow daisies on this has been munted on some green card and laid down the card on the left hand side. I then wrapped a multi coloured satin ribbon on top of some pretty lace across the centre and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used three roses in two colours and some little multi coloured sprays in the corner at the top on the left hand side, this was attached to the card with silicone glue on top of some punched out rose and fern leaves. And the last little flourish is the pearls down the edge at the top and bottom.
Now that youve seen my card do please go and visit Cuddly Buddley's Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented team have for your inspiration and hopefully it will get you to take part in this weeks challenge "Best Friends".

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenges - "A Sketch"

Good Afternoon Everyone, sorry Ive not been posting for a few days but weve had quite a stressful week and I really didnt feel upto rushing around trying to get a card done to post. This card I had intended putting some stitching on for the Saturated Canary Challenge as well but I spent 4 hours yesterday taking up trousers and skirts that I really couldnt be bothered to get the sewing machine out again today. Anyway I stamped one of the gorgeous Sassy Stamps onto white card then used my copics to colour her, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut her out and create and mount for her. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have treated it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card then I have used two papers that I have manipulated into a green colour from one of my craft Cds in my stash, the first one is a pale green background with hearts on, and the second for the sketch is a check pattern with a difference I though it would be a change from the gingham that most of the girls have used.
I then wrapped some lace and ribbon around the middle of the card and attached it to the back of the first mount and then positioned my mounted image in the centre, with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have used one of the rolled rose dies on some left over paper to create the flowers that were then stuck in the top left hand corner on some punched out rose leaves.
If youd like to know what all the stress was about you can find out all about it on my No.2 Blog, link on the sidebar.

The base card is again a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of beige pearlescent card and for this card I have used The Paper Shelters "Pepe L'Soures in Love" digi paper set you will find them here, this first paper is a beige background with pink and beige flowers on, and I have then used two strips of different papers in beige and pink from the same set to create layers down the centre, and on these two I have used the EK Success Puppy Paw border punch along both of the sides. Around the middle I have wrapped a lace ribbon with a Hello Kitty grosgrain ribbon on top these were all attached to the back of the first mount. I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.

Wowee theres certainly some awesome prizes there and Im sure it will encourage you to take part in this Challenge, and heres my card.
For my image I have used a Kenny K one and this is titled "Lady Victoria" I have printed her onto white card then used my copics and tria pens to colour her afterwards I used the large Nestabilitie Rectangle to cut her out, and cut a mount with a even larger die, the sentiment is one from my stash though its not to easy to see in this picture.
The basic size of the Easel is a 6"x 6" one and I have used two square of dark pink pearlescent card for the main mounts and on each of them I have layered up first one of a fabulous papers from Donna's Bearlymine "Shabby Vintage" set of digi papers, a beautiful mix of pinks and beiges, then on top I have used a rose patterned one from the same set but this time I have cut it into a 5" square and used one of my corner and border punch sets from Martha Stewart. I then wrapped some vintage style lace around both of the mounts with a gold satin ribbon across the top of it, on the top one I have placed my mounted image towards the right, and on my second the sentiment strip to work as the stop for the top mount. To finish of I have created a flower spray in the top left hand corner with several sized roses in different colours to pick out the colours of my image and 3 pearl and gem hat pins these were stuck to the card with silicone glue on top of punched out fern and rose leaves, and my last little trick was to run some stickles along the edges of the roses.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit Bearlymine Designs Blogspot and see what the rest of a very talented team have created for you and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Easel Does It" Challenge.

I then used some of the remaining orange card and ran it threw my cuttlebug with a embossing folder and then used the smaller dies to cut out two pumpkins, I then popped them at the bottom on the left with some stickles along the top of them, and stamped the sentiment and bowed it across the larger one. Anyway heres my card for this weeks Challenge.
The image I decided to use is from the Toby Tumble range and called "New Home" and you will find it "here" and Ive printed him onto white card before colouring the image with my copic and tria pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut it out and then used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it out of blue card. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have used the Double Ended Tag Die for this, and fixed it to the card with blue brads.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card I then used two papers from Pamela's "Soft Spring Papers" (Spring Bouquet) digi set and you will find them "here", the first paper is a very pretty patchwork of flowers and sentiments, one top of this is a strip of blue check paper that I have used a fence border punch from Martha Stewart on each of the sides, then on top is my second paper from Pamela, it has lines of flowers in pots in several different colours. I then wrapped a check ribbon around the middle twice and attached them to the back of the first mount and created a blue check knot which I have placed between the two. And the final flourish is the little check button in the top left hand corner I have threaded bakers twine through the holes and tied it in a knot.
